Misty Hollow is a nursery and flower farm specializing in growing dahlias located in Cornwall, VT.

Hi I’m the farmer and my name is Gabriel Severy! Throughout the past 6 years I have found a passion and love for dahlias: their diverse shapes, sizes, colors, they truely have their own individual personalities. Over the last 4 years I’ve sold dahlia tubers to customers all over the country, to small home gardeners and fellow farmers alike.

Currently I grow flowers on a rented plot at the same family farm that I grew up on, an organic dairy. At just over ¾ acre, the plot may seem small compared to some but I pack a lot of life into that small space! I grow 100% spray free, no pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides of any type, my goal is to promote as much biodiversity in the soil as possible. Healthy soil=healthy dahlias! This year I’m gearing up to grow around 450 varieties (variety is the spice of life, right?)

During the growing season I’ve found joy in making mixed bouquets and providing build-you-own bouquet bars, selling at farmers markets and pop up events, getting to talk face to face with customers. In the off season I am happy to take a bit of break and hit the ski slopes for a bit! I’d rather be working outside in the cold and the rain than inside and am grateful that I get to experience the cyclical nature of the seasons with each passing day!
